“Responding to the Resurrection: Putting Our Easter Faith to Work”
April 8 through May 13

There is great evidence in the resurrection narratives that there was an emerging transformation as Jesus’ community began to  encounter the risen Christ. Once beyond the immediate drama of Easter morning, the disciples began to ask, “What’s next?” During this season, we will explore the Easter narratives with a focus on the response of the Christian community, both then and now.

SMALL GROUP OFFERINGS:

Buddy Crawford’s series on the Gospel of John, held in Christ Chapel:
The gospel of John is one of the most popular, beloved, and most quoted books in the new testament. This class will explore how the author tells the story of Jesus through Jewish imagery, festivals, and holy days. Classes begin again March 11.

Faith and Fiction:
This class, led by Sally Parsonson, Ph.D. in the large conference room, discusses evidences of faith in fiction. We read a story from an anthology of short fiction and discuss on Sunday morning how the author’s vision pulls us into a story and illuminates our own experiences of religion and spiritual values. The anthology will be available for purchase in class. (Class dates are: Sundays, January 14 through March 18.)
