After a great deal of discussion, planning, and watching how some small groups have gathered on campus, I am pleased to announce that we will try our first gathering for worship outside at 5 pm on Sunday, October 18. We will worship in the parking lot turnaround behind the Chapel because it will be mostly out of the sun at that time.
To be clear, we still have several restrictions. We are still limited to 50 people in a gathering. Everyone needs to wear a mask, everyone needs to be 6 feet or more apart (families or couples can sit together), folks need to bring their own chairs (although you can stand for the 40-50 minute service) and everyone must register.
To join us for this return to worship, we will have a first-come, first-serve online registration that will be available on Wednesday, October 14 at noon on our HI-Lights page. Once the spaces are full, we cannot increase or add more. After this first gathering, we will look at other options and better ways to manage this process.
While this is not the way any of us imagined church working, we are grateful to be gathering. Please be patient with the church and one another as we chart some new waters. We are hopeful and excited to offer this opportunity to gather and worship together.
