Winds of Change – Suspending In-person Worship

Friends, Fall has been in the air for some time. Now we are all feeling the opening winds of Winter. We long knew that our options for outdoor worship were limited by weather. After much discussion, we are making the choice to suspend in-person worship until the Spring. We made this choice for two reasons. First was weather making things more difficult. The second was the change in our church season.
This Sunday marks the end of Pentecost with the Feast of Christ the King. We will have outdoor worship this weekend at 8, 9, and 5. For those who feel comfortable, we will gather and worship together.
With the beginning of Advent on November 29, which is traditionally a low-attendance Sunday since it is just after Thanksgiving, we will return to on-line only worship. The daylight is escaping so that we worship in the dark at 5 pm and the mornings are often cold and prevent families to gather.
We are working for the process to open again in the Spring, God willing, with in person worship on the other side of the Pandemic. Until those days, we will continue to pray for everyone in our church and for the world.
