Easter Season, 2017
There is great evidence in the resurrection narratives that there was an emerging transformation as Jesus' community began to encounter the risen Christ. Once beyond the immediate drama of Easter morning, the disciples began to ask, "What's next?" The challenge and opportunity of remaining responsive became important as they were gathered as a community, considered their mission, and then were sent forth as the early church. During the season of Easter, the clergy will explore the Easter narratives with a focus on the immediate awe and wonder of the resurrection, the meal fellowship they enjoyed with the risen Christ, and with the community-building and mission imperatives of the earliest church.
