The Parish Choir practicing before the 10am service.
The Music Department provides a comprehensive program, offering parishioners on all levels an opportunity to use their musical talents to serve God and the church. Choirs offer praise to God through music, enhance the worship services, and support congregational singing.
The Parish Choir
The Parish Choir (grade 9 through adult) sings at 1) the 11:15 a.m. service each Sunday from September through May; 2) the 10:00 a.m. service in June and August; and 3) Evensong, seasonal services, and concerts, often with the addition of instrumentalists. The repertoire encompasses all traditional-classical periods of church music from the 16th century through newly composed works, including anthems written for, and commissioned by, the Parish Choir by Richard DeLong, Robert Lehman, Craig Phillips, David Conte, and others.
Rehearsals are on Thursdays (7:30-9:00pm) and Sundays (9-9:45am) through June 14. Starting June 17 through the end of July, there will be Sunday rehearsals only.
