Staying Connected
We know we can do it. We now know that we do not have to be at 805 Mt. Vernon in order to be the church and experience the love of God. In fact, sometimes we’re better at knowing the presence of God when we aren’t here but rather out in the world or safe at home.
Many of you already stay connected to your Holy Innocents family online. We have a regular community who chat in the comments section while watching our 10:15 AM service together on Facebook. Some Zoom in to prayer groups and Bible study gatherings each week. And countless others follow us on Instagram and Facebook.
While many of us are all over the place this summer, I thought it would be nice to stay connected in a way we can learn a bit more about each other and strengthen our faith. So during June and July, I will be hosting Wednesday Night Live at 7:30 pm on Zoom. We’ll pray Compline together, and we will discuss a scripture selection, watch a famous or funny sage, or just catch up on life. We’ll share the link in next week’s HI Lights and post it on FB. Join us whenever you can from wherever you might be, on top of Old Smoky, on the beach, on your back porch, or on the couch in your PJs.
